Santa Claus is coming to town!
The Moosomin Chamber of Commerce has its Santa Day planned for this Saturday in Moosomin.
Santa will be available for photos with children at the Moosomin Community Theatre from 10 a.m. to noon. Staff of Conexus Credit Union will volunteer to help with Santa’s visit.
Children who visit with Santa will be given a coupon for a free popcorn at the afternoon matinee of The Polar Express at the community theatre.
The chamber is paying all the costs for the movie, with the idea that parents can drop their children at the movie and get some Christmas shopping done Saturday afternoon.
Santa Day is the first Christmas event planned by the Moosomin Chamber of Commerce this season.
The next is Midnight Madness, planned for Wednesday, Dec. 7, with stores open until 10 p.m.
Saskatchewan Highways had proposed an extensive Highway 8 bypass in 2003 as part of Highway 1 twinning plans, but that bypas was never built.
