An advance poll is set for tomorrow, Thursday Sept. 27, and election day is next Wednesday, Oct. 3 in Moosomin's council byelection.

People can vote tomorrow from 4-7pm and next Wednesday, Oct. 3 from 9 am to 8 pm

Both the advance poll and the regular election are being held at the Conexus Convention Centre at Bradley Park.

There is a vacancy on Moosomin town council due to the resignation of Teddi Taylor. The winner of the byelection will serve the remainder of the current term, until the municipal election in 2020.

The two candidates are Greg Nosterud, owner of Lee’s Carpet Warehouse, and Amy Johnson, who runs the store at Moosomin Regional Park.

Other members of town council are Mayor Larry Tomlinson and Councillors Chris Davidson, Murray Gray, Garry Towler, Ron Fisk, and Jason Miller.

Voters will need to bring a piece of photo ID that shows they live in Moosomin, or two pieces of non-photo ID. Anyone who has lived in Moosomin for three months or more is eligible to vote.
