Human remains found near Bangor

At approximately 1:00 p.m on October 22nd, Esterhazy RCMP responded to a report of a vehicle located in the bush on an isolated, rural property near Bangor, Sask.

Preliminary investigation determined that a single vehicle travelling on a remote, gravel road appears to have gone through a T-intersection and into dense bush and was not immediately visible from the road.

The SUV had significant damage and a lone, deceased individual was located at the scene.

At this time, the identity and gender of the deceased have yet to be determined.

A forensic autopsy is scheduled for Friday, October 26th.

This investigation remains ongoing with assistance from the RCMP’s Forensic Identification Section (FIS), Major Crimes Unit (MCU) and Traffic Reconstruction.

At this time, there is nothing to indicate that the death is suspicious in nature.
