Beware of CRA scammers

Moosomin RCMP has had several reports of emails and text messages going to people claiming to be from Canada Revenue Agency.

There is a link included for people to click on and complete a form providing sensitive personal information such as date of birth, social insurance number, mother's maiden name etc..DO NOT DO THIS.

The message also indicates your refund may be expeditited and/or increased if you fill out the form online. Again, DO NOT DO THIS.

Please be aware this is a scam and an attempt to solicit information in order to access credit or use in further scams in the future.

If you receive this text, do not provide any information.

Should you have provided information, please ensure your bank is aware, and you can contact the Canadian Anti Fraud Centre at 1-888-495-8501.
