The Saskatchewan Health Authority has announced that the emergency department at Broadview Union Hospital will be closed indefinitely. It had been closed temporarily.

Due to the inability to provide reliable and consistent lab/diagnostic and physician services at the Broadview Union Hospital, the Broadview Union Hospital emergency department and acute care services will remain closed for an undetermined period.

Recruitment continues for the Combined Lab X-ray Technicians (CLXT) and physicians needed to support the Broadview Union Hospital’s emergency and acute services continues but at present, the positions remain unfilled. Updates will continue to be provided periodically to the community on the status of this process and the timing for returning acute care and the emergency department in Broadview to its normal hours of operation.

During this time Physician clinic appointments will still be available in the community of Broadview and can be booked by calling 306-696-2266.
