Yorkton RCMP lay several charges over impaired driving

On Wednesday October 16th, 2019 at 5:30 p.m. the Yorkton RCMP received multiple complaints from the public of a dangerous driver on Highway #9 North of Yorkton.

RCMP officers located the suspect vehicle and after several attempts stopped the vehicle from moving further and took the driver into custody.

An 18-year-old female was taken into custody without incident.

She was in Yorkton Provincial Court Thursday to speak to multiple charges including impaired operation of a motor vehicle, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, fail to stop for a peace officer, operate a motor vehicle while prohibited, mischief under $5000, utter threats, possession of property obtained by crime over $5000 and three counts of fail to comply with an Judge's undertaking.

No injury was reported to the public or any involved parties due to the involved officer's quick response and the public's assistance.
