The Rocanville Community Hall will be rocking this Saturday when Elvis tribute artist Rory Allen comes town. The Rory Allen concert is a fundraiser for the new hall.

As of last week, Steve Fortney, the chair of the hall board, said ticket sales were going well, but said that there were still a few tables and individual tickets left for those wanting to attend the concert.

“We are down to three tables left and maybe 10 individual tickets,” he said. “There’s always the last minute rush. Sales are strong and we expect to sell out.”

Fortney said people seem to be excited about the concert. “They are pretty excited about it. Rory is from here originally,” he said. “PCS hired him twice for two events and he was always a big hit for that.

“We sort of targeted that we would make about $5,000 net when we are done. We’re pretty happy with where we’re at with ticket sales and I think we will sell those last tables.”

The show takes place this Saturday, April 8 at the PotashCorp Rocanville Community Hall. Doors open at 7 pm and the show starts at 8 pm.
