Head-on collision on Trans-Canada Highway

There were several injuries following a head-on collision on the Trans-Canada Highway six miles west of Moosomin Thursday night.

A Pontiac Sunfire was travelling westbound in the eastbound lane of the highway and collided with an SUV.

Three adults and a two-year-old child were travelling in the SUV. There were minor injuries to two of the adults and one of the adults had serious but non-life-threatening injuries. The child in the car seat was uninjured.

The driver of the Sunfire had non-life-threatening injuries.

All the injured people were taken to the Southeast Integrated Care Centre at Moosomin.

Moosomin RCMP, the Moosomin Volunteer Fire Department and Hutch Ambulance responded to the collision

The collision is still under investigation, and RCMP are looking at the possibility of alcohol being a factor.

There were no local residents involved in the collision
