Nelson House RCMP seize drugs and cash

In the late afternoon of Wednesday November 1, 2017, Nelson House RCMP executed a search warrant under the Criminal Code of Canada and the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act at a residence located in the community.

Officers located and seized approximately 39 grams of cocaine and a large quantity of Canadian currency.

Police have arrested and charged three individuals, all from Nelson House, with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime. 29-year-old Trapper Linklater and 26-year-old Patrick Linklater were remanded into custody as well as a 15-year-old youth. They remain in custody at this time and will be appearing in Thompson Provincial Court on November 6, 2017.

Those who produce and traffic illicit drugs destroy lives, homes and communities. The RCMP remains fully committed to enforcing laws against illicit drugs to their fullest extent.
