Driver stopped going 170 on Trans-Canada

RCMP in Manitoba stopped a driver going 177 km/h on the Trans-Canada Highway Tuesday.
At 3:53pm yesterday on Highway 1, just east of Brandon, RCMP Westman Traffic Services caught a 26 year old hitting that speed in a 110 km/h zone.
He said he thought he was only going 130 km/h, according to RCMP.
He was fined $835 and given a serious offence notice to report to MPI within 5 days.
