The top Saskatchewan men’s curling teams from across the province will hit the ice February 6-10, 2019 in Whitewood, SK for the 2019 SaskTel Tankard Men’s Provincial Curling Championship.

The SaskTel Tankard will mark the 14th year of the title sponsorship, with 16 men’s teams competing for the right to represent Saskatchewan at the 2019 Tim Hortons Brier right next door at the Westoba Credit Union Place in Brandon, Manitoba!

Executive Director, Ashley Howard states “The SaskTel Tankard is one of our premier events, with exceptional arena ice conditions we will be treated to exceptional shot making by the best curlers from around the province. We look forward to watching the community of Whitewood build on the success of their annual 64-team bonspiel to host another successful event!”

This event will not only benefit the town of Whitewood, but many communities here in south east Saskatchewan!

“This is the first large scaled event here in Whitewood, but our town and community have proved through our annual 64-team bonspiel, that we are more than ready to show the curling world what “small town hospitality” is all about,” said Chad Kelly, Host Chair of the 2019 SaskTel Tankard.

“Whitewood and surrounding communities have a passion and excitement over championship curling, where we are confident and excited that we will have the support to host a big time event such as the SaskTel Tankard.”
