Highway 1 reopened to traffic

The Moosomin Fire Department battled a fire along the south side of the Trans Canada Highway near Rotave, between Moosomin and Fleming, Wednesday afternoon and evening.
The Trans-Canada Highway is now open to traffic.
Smoke in the area forced the closure of the highway Wednesday afternoon.
Some structures have been lost, and the Moosomin Fire Department worked hard to get the fire under control.
The fire started along the rail line that runs through the area.
Grass, brush, and hay bales continued to smolder Wednesday evening
