A 57 year old male from Stockholm, SK is confirmed deceased from the collision this morning near Esterhazy, SK.
The collision involved two vehicles.
The driver of a small SUV, a 36 year old female, was transported to St. Anthony's Hospital in Esterhazy with unknown injuries.
The second vehicle, an older model Honda Accord was driven by the deceased.
Following this collision, two other vehicles that stopped to assist were involved in a minor collision. One person was taken to hospital in Esterhazy as a precaution, while the other driver was unhurt. Weather at the time of the collision was blowing snow with high winds and reduced visibility.
Road conditions were described as being icy.
EMS from Esterhazy as well as the Esterhazy Fire Department assisted at the scene. All emergency personnel are now clear of the scene.
The circumstances as to how the collision occurred is the subject of an investigation by Esterhazy RCMP.
