Drug bust nets 278 pounds of marijuana

Moosomin RCMP have charged Shane Michael McQue of Surrey, B.C. with possession of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking.

RCMP officers seized 278 pounds of the drug during a traffic stop on the Trans-Canada Highway near Moosomin Thursday.

A small quantity of cocaine, an undisclosed amount of cash and a vehicle and trailer were also seized by RCMP during the traffic stop.

McQue made his first court appearance in provincial court in Yorkton on Monday.
