18 charges laid for vehicle thefts

On Friday, January 3, 2014, the two suspects involved in a string of stolen vehicles and break-ins throughout Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba appeared in court.

Anthony Blais, 42, faces 10 charges under the Highway Traffic Act and the Criminal Code, including Theft, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime, Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle, Operation of a Motor Vehicle While Being Pursued by Police, and Drive Without a Licence.

Laura Lee Dawn Palmer, 33, faces eight charges under the Highway Traffic Act and the Criminal Code, including Theft, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime, Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle and Operation of a Motor Vehicle While Being Pursued by Police.

Both suspects are remanded and will appear in Brandon Provincial Court on Monday, January 6, 2014.
