Velma Moore (Hagedorn)

Velma Moore (Hagedorn) passed away peacefully at Southeast Integrated Care Centre - LTC on Wednesday, March 15, 2023.
She was born on August 6, 1931, in Ashfield Township in Southern Ontario.
Mom was first married to Harvey Hagedorn. They met on the McDonald farm where mom was raised.
They were married in 1952 and raised four children Allan, Eric, Marilyn and Murray (twins).
She did not have much slow time and life kept her busy.
She went to post-secondary school in Toronto, with working in banking most of her life.
Our family did not stay still, we moved from Southern Ontario to Northern Ontario, as us children grew up.
Mom and Harvey moved west to Moosomin where Harvey ran Bud’s Auto and mom worked at the bank.
Then mom went into the Dekor Bees business with some wonderful people.
It was a great life, our mother was a mover, and there was never a dull moment.
As her children, we can all agree that our worlds were full of love and many, many worldly experiences. It was a ride that was extremely great.
Mom and Harvey separated but kept the family in good visiting and togetherness.
Mom met Colin Moore and married in Sept. 1996. They had many years of fun together.
Our families always stayed strong and connected. As all families, we had our ups, downs, lows, and highs, but never any regrets.
This very special mother will be missed by all. She had a part in many lives, with the people she met and shared her wonderful time on earth with.
For those who so desire, memorial tributes may be made to Moosomin & District Healthcare Foundation for CT Scanner Fund in memory of Velma.
A funeral service will be held from St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, 716 Main Street, Moosomin, Saskatchewan on Monday, April 10, 2023, at 1 p.m.
Interment will be in Moosomin South Cemetery with lunch to follow at the Legion Hall next to the church.
