With great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Joanne MacPherson in Regina, just before Christmas 2012. Known affectionately as Bon, she was a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and great-aunt, a good friend, and an avid Saskatchewan Roughrider supporter.
Joanne lived in Moosomin for many years, where she was an active member of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, singing in the choir and participating fully in church life. Joanne worked at the Land Titles Office until the Moosomin office was transferred to Regina. She is pre-deceased by her sister, Marion, and brother, Bill (a journalist, who started his career at the World Spectator), both of Ottawa. She is survived by nieces Seonaigh and Morag (daughter Rachel) and nephews Colin and Lachlan (Suzanne and son Derek), all of Vancouver, B.C. and her dear friend Dorothy Thomson of Ottawa. A service will be held in Moosomin in the spring with the date to be announced in the World-Spectator.
