Margaret Patricia Stewart of Brandon, Manitoba, formerly of Fleming, Saskatchewan, passed away at the Brandon Regional Health Centre on Tuesday, May 6, 2014.

Margaret was born on August 23, 1927 at Erskine, Alberta, the youngest of eight children of William Barron and Anna Claeys. She grew up in Erskine where she excelled in school and went on to graduate as a Registered Nurse from Royal Alexander Hospital in Edmonton, Alberta.

Margaret nursed in several communities throughout Alberta and Saskatchewan including Cabri, Saskatchewan where she met her husband, Lloyd.

Margaret enjoyed travelling, sewing, gardening, and watching her five children throughout various sports. She was also a member of the UCW.

She leaves to mourn her passing her children Rick (Beryl), Joanne (Larry), Patty (Paul), Carolyn (Glen) and Robert and grandchildren Keri, Heather, Michelle, Leslie, Chad, Erin, Ria and Kristen, as well as five great- grandchildren. She also leaves a sister, Helen, and sisters-in-law Ida, Mavis, Lillian and Ethel.

Margaret was predeceased by her husband Lloyd, and six brothers and sisters.

A graveside ceremony was held at Fleming cemetery, Fleming, Saskatchewan on Saturday, May 10, 2014. A memorial reception followed at the Fleming community hall. All those present were considered honorary bearers.
