Gwendolyn Margaret Newnham passed away at Peace Arch Hospital in White Rock, B.C. on June 24, 2014.
Gwen was born on January 11, 1925 in Wapella Sask. to John and Gertrude Robertson. She graduated from Regina General Hospital with an RN in 1948, and worked in Saskatchewan, Alberta, Ontario, N.W.T. and Hawaii. She retired from her nursing career at Peace Arch Hospital in 1990.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Edward; daughter and son-in-law Heather and Allan Northrup; granddaughter Jennifer; brother John Robertson; and sister Marjorie Ellsworth, all of South Surrey, B.C. She is also survived by nephew John Robertson of Langley, B.C.; niece Brenda McLean of West Vancouver, B.C.; and cousins in Scotland, England, New Brunswick, Saskatchewan, Alberta and British Columbia.
