Mildred passed away at SEICC in Moosomin on June 17, 2014 at the age of 88 years.

Mildred was born on January 2, 1926 at Ceylon, Sask. She was the fourth child of Melvin and Alice Harrison. She took her elementary education in Ceylon and high school in Radville.

Upon graduation she attended normal school in Regina. After only three weeks she was asked if she would like a teaching position. She began teaching at Rosedale school in September 1943. This is where she met her husband-to-be, Vincent Clements. She also taught in Doonside and Little Bluff School District.

On November 28, 1946 Mildred and Vincent were married in Ceylon. They farmed in the Rosedale district. Here they raised four children.

Mildred enjoyed showing baking and sewing at many local fairs, where she won many prizes. She also judged at many fairs and taught sewing classes.

They raised purebred dogs and showed beagles, labs and Boston terriers, winning many championships.

Mildred was a member of the Fairmede Agricultural Society and looked forward each year to helping organize the fair. She was a lifetime member of SAASE. She was fondly called The Pie Lady by the 4-H members.

She worked diligently towards having the Fairmede United Church restored to its original state and having it declared a municipal heritage site.

Mildred spent many happy hours on the farm. She enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping with family.

In later years Mildred and Vincent enjoyed trips all across Canada, Alaska and the southern United States with their motor home.
She leaves behind a legacy of love and honor. She touched the lives of everyone she met with her kind and caring heart. Her life was full of many beautiful moments and she appreciated all aspects of her life. She possessed a contagious smile and a wonderful sense of humor. She had a unique gift to recognize and appreciate the talents of others and to make them feel loved and respected. Her beautiful smile and generous heart filled her home with love, fun, family and many friends.

We feel blessed to have shared a wonderful life with her. Her passing leaves a hole in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
