Margaret was born on her father’s farm in the Redvers area on January 7, 1921. She was the seventh child of Rhoda and Willliam Huckell.

Margaret had many homes in her lifetime, beginning on the farm south of Ryerson, attending high school in Weyburn. After her marriage to Clifford Boon in April 1941, they moved to her father’s homestead just north of Ryerson. After the birth of their daughter Fay, she and the infant followed Clifford to Toronto where he was stationed during World War II. While Clifford was in the forces she returned home and worked as a housekeeper for Harold Harrison. When Clifford returned to civilian life, they rented land in the Ryerson district and finally bought the farm where Dwaine lives today. In 1980, Clifford fulfilled his promise to build Margaret a new house in Maryfield, where they made new friends and enjoyed getting together with their neighbors for cards and visits.

This was her home until ill health forced her to enter long-term care in Redvers Centennial Haven until her death.

She was predeceased by her parents Rhoda and William Huckell; her husband Clifford Boon; an infant daughter; her brothers William (Anne), and Wesley (Georgina); and sisters Lillian Russill (John), Eleanor Nash (George), Rhoda Rawbone (Theodore), Gertrude Playter (Grant), and Patricia Hepburn (Ralph); brothers-in-law Walter Thompson, Harold Maines, Harold (Grace) Boon, Clarence (Myrtle) Boon; and son-in-law Jim Pahlke.

She is survived by her children Fay Renwick, Mildred Pahlke, Rhonda Pierrard (Bob), Dwaine (Michaelene) Boon and Darcy (Barbara) Boon; grandchildren Arliss (Stephanie) Renwick, Ruan Renwick, John (Melanie) Kirby, Gillian (Jody) Groening, Robin Pierrard, Tiffiny (Daniel) Poirier, Quintin (Theresa) Boon, Mercedes, Madison and Will Boon; great-grandchildren Avery and Gage Renwick, Randy, Jacqueline, and Karlee Kirby, Evan Groening, Isaac and Sebestien Poirier, Piper and Rhett Boon. Besides her immediate family, Margaret also leaves many nieces and nephews to mourn her passing.
