Dorothy Mae Windrim passed away on January 23, 2015 at the Lakeside Nursing Home in Wolseley, Sask. at the age of 94 years.
Dorothy was born on August 2, 1920 to Bill and Hazel St. John of Denison TWP, Sudbury District, Ontario. At the age of two and a half she became the foster child of Rachel Thompson in the Prosperity District. She took her schooling at Prosperity School, along with two of her sisters.

On May 30, 1939 she was united in marriage to Lloyd Windrim, also of the Prosperity District. They farmed in the Cranbrook District with Dorothy working alongside Lloyd milking cows, feeding pigs and fixing machinery. They farmed until 1968 when they moved into Moosomin where Lloyd was the Watkins dealer until his death. In 2006, Dorothy became a resident of Lakeside Nursing Home.

She was predeceased by her husband Lloyd; her parents Bill and Hazel; foster mother Rachel Thompson; her sisters Irene, Winnifred, Eunice and twin sister Jean; foster brothers Melvyn, Orville and Everette Thompson; great-grandson Kory McLean and great-grandchildren Keith McLean, and Amber and Scott Drummelsmith in infancy.

She leaves to mourn her passing daughter Elva (Ken) Wolfe and daughter Marie Hooper; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren, 15 great-great-grandchildren and one great-great-great grand-daughter as well as nieces and nephews.

A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at 2 p.m. at G.R. Carscadden Funeral Chapel in Moosomin, Saskatchewan with Dawn Wilson officiating. Interment was held at Webster Cemetery in Rocanville, Saskatchewan.
