Martha was born July 29th, 1915 to parents Gottlieb and Louisa Ehrman in Westerham, SK, a community west of Leader, SK.

Her parents were born in Romania, married in 1907, and immigrated to Canada the same year. Martha was one of seven children. Siblings; Katie, Bill, Henry, Matilda, Rose and Jacob.

Martha only spoke German until she entered grade school.

Her father died in 1937. As a result, Martha helped out farming with her brothers.

In the 1940’s Martha went to Regina for hairdressing at the Marvel School. After working at a shop in Swift Current she purchased the shop in the mid-40’s and became a business owner.

It was in Swift Current that she met Bill Case through his sister. They were married July 20th, 1948 in Swift Current.

Following they moved to Welwyn where she and Bill farmed.

They had two children Sharon and Bruce.

Martha and Bill enjoyed farming together until 1978 when Bruce took over the farm. From the farm they built a house in Rocanville where they lived together until Bill passed away in 1986. Martha stayed in the house until moving to the Rocanville Lodge.

Martha enjoyed her flowers and played many games of cards with her friends.

Martha had a short stay in Broadview nursing home and then moved on to Moosomin Extended Care Facility in 2011. She settled in and enjoyed her years and the wonderful people she spent her days with.

She enjoyed many hours playing crib and doing cross stitch, and also joining in the many activities offered.

She began knitting toques and gifted them to babies in the nursery in Regina General Hospital. The final tally was 284 toques. Many Moms sent Martha pictures of their little ones wearing the toques she hasdso kindly made for them.

Martha passed away peacefully on July 30th, 2016 at the age of 101 years and one day after a wonderful and fulfilling life.

Predeceased by her husband Bill on March 12th, 1986; parents Gottlieb and Louisa Ehrman and by five of her brothers and sisters;

Martha is survived by daughter Sharon (Bob) Lowe of Olds, AB. Grandsons: Larry (Cindy) of Red Deer, AB, Darryl (Brandy) of Bonnyville, AB, Duane (Erin) of Olds, AB.

Survived by son Bruce (Betsy) Case of Welwyn, SK and grandchildren: Ryan (Amanda) Case of Balgonie, SK, Chris (Jackie) Case of Regina, SK, and Mindy (Mike) Foley of Rowatt, SK.; Great-Grandchildren Sean, Allison, Cassidy, Cadence, Abby, Ben, Calli, Tenley, Harper, Keelan, Ali, and Adyn and one on the way.

She is also survived by her sister Rose Rauch, sister-in-law Marie Nodge and many nieces and nephews and friends.
