Danny passed away peacefully in the Deerview Lodge in Wawota with his family around him.

He was born in Walpole, Sask. to Mary Ann and Alexander Frazer, the second youngest of eleven children—six boys and five girls. Danny's dad died when Danny was at a very young age.

His mother raised her eleven children in Walpole on an acreage, and the children learned about hard work and long hours at a very early age.

Danny took a job in Renwick's store in Fairlight before he was finished his grade nine education and played baseball and hockey with Fairlight teams. He then became a grain buyer with the Searle Grain Copany and was soon made the agent of the Searle Grain elevator in Maryfield. After about 15 years he bought Chuck Hall's Insurance Business and also became “Administrator” for the Village of Maryfield where he worked until he retired in 1992.

Danny married Laura Edmonds in 1958. They had four children—twins Edmond and Dean (Dean passed away at birth), Ward, and Chelan.

Danny was a very active member of the community. He was a fireman for many years, a member of the Masonic Lodge; he played baseball and hockey and curled with local teams, and for years he coached various levels of baseball and hockey; he refereed hockey for many seasons; he was an ardent hunter and fisherman; he worked with the ambulance when it was in its formative years and continued long after this even getting his E.M.T. when it was necessary; he was a school bus driver for years; after his retirement he became a councillor and then the mayor for several terms; he served on the school board for years; he was on the original planning board of the Maryfield Sunrise Villa and served on the Villa board for a long time.

Danny was predeceased by his father and mother, by his infant son, and by nine of his siblings and by three brothers-in-law, and one sister-in-law.

Danny is survived by his wife Laura and his children—Edmond (Sheila), Ward (Lydia) and Chelan (Glenn) Buchanan; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren—Jody, Kurtis (wife Nicole and baby Marley), Daniel, Erica (husband Tyler and girls Lara and Scarlet), and Chandra, and Richelle; brother Ron; two sisters-in-law (Lillian and Grace) and numerous nieces and nephews.
