Wilson George Crosson of Rocanville, Sask. passed away peacefully at the Southeast Integrated Care Home in Moosomin, Sask. on November 4, 2016, with family by his side at the age of 89 years.

Wilson was born on December 16, 1926 in the Crosson family home at Spy Hill, Sask. - the fifth of six children and eldest son of Roy and Eva Crosson.

Always a spiritually-minded man, Wilson in 1954 took a special interest in his soul and made some deeper commitments and some choices that have stood by him through the years.

He married Della Webster of Rocanville on October 12, 1957.

They began their married life in a little farmstead home at Spy Hill where they began raising their family of seven. Wilson farmed at Spy Hill for many years and was very active in the Spy Hill community.

In 1973, Wilson and Della moved to Granite Lodge, the Webster family farm, where they continued farming at Rocanville. In 1996 they moved another house into the Granite Lodge yard when they passed the farming flame on to the next generation. Wilson remained there until he moved into the care home just one month ago.

Faith, Family and then Farming were Wilson's priorities.

He lived his life true to his belief in, "moderation in all things," and "too much or too little is not good".

He firmly believed that, "all things work together for good to those that love God." He was very dedicated to his family always ensuring that their needs were met.

A love of the land motivated Wilson in his farming career.

He enjoyed everything from seeding to harvest and always optimistically calculated a plan for the next year. Wilson did “everything as good as he could for as long as he could.” Until his early eighties, he was actively involved in the farm and was always interested in what was happening.

Wilson was predeceased by his son Lyle Crosson in 1988, his parents, Roy and Eva Crosson, his sisters Mabel Flett and Mary Rutherford and brothers- -in-law Edward Harbo, Jack Flett, Hugh Cowan, Wellwood Cowan, Donald Rutherford and Hartley Affleck, and his sisters-in-law Wilma Lonseth, Murial Webster, Inez Crosson and Margaret Webster.

Wilson will be dearly missed by Della, his loving wife of 59 years. He will be lovingly remembered by their six children: William (Susan) Crosson of Rocanville and their children Lee (Jenaya) and Finlee, Dana, Adam, Lisa and Max Crosson; Deanna (Brad) Stewart of Weyburn and their children Rocky, Jenna, Jaden (Cara) Ashton and Hazel, Tanner and Joanne Stewart; Gordon (Lonnie) Sam and Laura Crosson of Cottage Grove WI; Lorne (Brenda) Crosson of Welwyn and their children Glen, Leah, Aaron, Alex and Dean Crosson; Heather (Kevin) Sidloski of Weyburn and their children Morgan, Arliss, Sidney and Mason Sidloski; and Darlene (Richard) Howden of High River AB and their children Emily (Logan) Nelson, Amy (Tanner) Thue, Annie, Levi and Jenny Howden.

He also leaves to cherish his memory, two sisters, Jean Cowan and Edyth Cowan, one brother Francis (Audrey) Crosson, sister-in-law Ruth (Mel) Hoerchel, brothers-in-law Fred Webster and Roy (Fran) Lonseth, numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

A funeral service was held on Thursday, November 10, 2016 at the Potash Corp. Rocanville Community Hall at 1 pm. Interment was at the Webster Cemetery following a lunch at the hall.

Arrangements were entrusted to G.R. Carscadden Funeral Chapel, Moosomin, Sask. If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made to the Moosomin and District Health Care Foundation or the Potash Corp. Rocanville Community Hall.
