DD Decorby of Moosomin, SK passed away peacefully at the Moosomin Hospital surrounded by her family on August 6, 2017 in her 55th year.

Funeral service was held at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, Moosomin, SK on August 9, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. with Father Joseph and Father Mau officiating. Interment was in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in the Qu’Appelle Valley.

DD was born September 5, 1962 to Joseph and Inez (Walz) Decorby in Langenburg Hospital. She was the second of five children. She grew up on the family farm in the Qu’Appelle Valley with her parents. Mom, Dad and DD’s life together was very sociable. DD was very compassionate, loving and friendly. She never forgot a face, even if she hadn’t seen you for a long time she still remembered you and would greet you with a warm hug. DD loved celebrations. Christmas was her favorite time of the year and the Christmas catalogue was her favorite book. Her favorite gifts were baby dolls, stuffed animals and balls. There is a country band called Alabama that wrote a song called “Angels Among Us” and we strongly believe that song fits DD to a T.

In 2013, DD became a resident of Pipestone Place in Moosomin. Here a whole new and exciting world opened up to her. She had a busy social life: shopping, beach trips, rummage sales, movies, dances and she also went to Camp Easter Seal one summer. Her already big family, grew even bigger with the Staff and residents of Pipestone Place and Bryant House. We will forever be grateful to the staff for their love, care and compassion given to DD during her life with them. It may have been a short part of her life, but it was full of love, warmth, respect and dignity that was worth a lifetime.

She is predeceased by her parents, Joe & Inez Decorby; survived by her sister Joann, brother Jean (Cathy), sister Irene (Bardy Reavie) and brother JJ (Sherri) and many nieces and nephews.

May the angels gently guide you into the loving arms of Jesus. You will be missed by all who knew you!
