It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Carol Lynn Glasser (nee Doane), of Moosomin, SK, on December 5th, 2017, in her 64th year.

Carol was born May 30th, 1953 and was predeceased by her parents, Stuart and Edith Doane.

Carol leaves to mourn her beloved husband Don; children: Chad, Neil (Jessica), Ian (Brittany), Quinn (Rikki) and Hilary (Brad); brothers: Gordon (Darlene), Terry (Rita), and Murray (Kathy); uncles: George (Eleanor) and Ernie (Grace), as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Family was always the most important part of life for Carol. She loved to be surrounded by her family members.

Carol was very proud of her 43-year Registered Nursing career and worked the majority of her career in Moosomin Union Hospital, always advocating for patient safety and equality in the workplace.

She loved to spend her spare time quilting, knitting, gardening, sewing and catching that Kodak moment. She had a kind, loving personality and was always concerned about the welfare of others, always willing to help as best she could.

Her warm kind smile will never be forgotten. Carol touched and made an impact on a lot of lives in her far too short time with us. She will be sadly missed, heaven gained a true angel.

Funeral service was held from Bethel United Church, December 9th, 2017 with Rev. Joan Rennie-Laing officiating. Interment was at Fairmede Cemetery.

“God looked around His garden
And He found an empty place.
He then looked down upon this Earth,
And saw your tired face.
He put His arms around you and
Lifted you to rest.
God’s garden must be beautiful,
He always takes the best.

He knew that you were suffering,
He knew you were in pain.
He knew that you would never
Get well on Earth again.
He saw the hills were hard to climb,
So, He closed your weary eyelids,
And whispered, “Peace be thine.”

It broke our hearts to lose you
But you didn’t go alone,
For part of us went with you,
The day God called you home.”
