It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our mom, wife, memere, sister, daughter and friend Tracy Huberdeau (nee McCutcheon). Tracy passed away at the Health Sciences Center in Winnipeg, Manitoba peacefully and painlessly surrounded by her family on March 9, 2018 after a brief battle with an aggressive brain tumor that took her life away too soon.

Tracy was born December 27, 1966 in Moosomin, Saskatchewan. She is the third child of four born to Wayne and Betty (nee Mercer) McCutcheon.

She grew up on the farm in Rocanville, Saskatchewan and spent her youth playing every sport possible and embracing life on the farm. She attended school in Rocanville for Grade 1-12, and continued her education in Business College in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan.

Tracy met her soulmate, Edgar Huberdeau, in the summer of 1985 at St. Lazare’s Sports Days. Edgar and Tracy wed on June 28, 1986 and began their family of girls: Christine Anne (1987), Paige Marie (1990) and Monique Elizabeth (1993).

Tracy spent her days alongside her husband running their family business, Russell Tire Ltd (1996), and was an active member of the community. She worked very hard and was a pillar in the growth of her girls for the past 30 years—she was a kind, loving, and supportive mother. She was a master hostess and loved spending time with friends and family in her home and yard. She also loved her flowers and recently began gardening—a pastime that had become a highlight of going to memere and pepere’s house. She welcomed her first granddaughter, Bailey Jones, daughter to Zachary and Christine Jones, in 2015 and thoroughly enjoyed her “Memere Time” every day. She was eagerly awaiting the birth of Brooke Dawn Jones on March 22, 2018.

Tracy was predeased by her father Wayne in May 2010, her grandparents Les, Anne and Peggy McCutcheon, and Alick and Bella Mercer.

Left to remember her love and positivity are her husband Edgar Huberdeau and her three daughters; Christine (Zachary) Jones, Paige and Monique Huberdeau and her granddaughters Bailey Marie and Brooke Dawn Jones. Her mother Betty McCutcheon, siblings Shawney McCutcheon, Vivian (Kelly) Rempel, Cory McCutcheon, nephews Daniel, Lucas, and her extended Huberdeau family.
Mom will be remembered for her love for her family, her playful personality, her sense of humour, her unforgettable meals and her dance moves. She is and will be greatly missed.

The funeral service was held on Saturday, March 17, 2018 at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Russell, Man., with Father Norberto Monton and Deacon Conrad Plante officiating. Pallbearers were her nephews Keith, Jonah, and Lance Genik, Thomas Haney, and Daniel and Lucas Rempel.

The family would like to thank Dr. Rola Sadeddin, the nurses at the Russell Hospital, the Russell Paramedics, the doctors and nurses on the Adult Neurological Unit (GA5), as well as the Surgical Intensive Care Unit at the Health Sciences Center in Winnipeg. Thank you to our Parish Priest Norberto Monton and Deacon Conrad Plante for the beautiful service for our mom and wife. A big thank you to Bryce and Braendle-Bruce Funeral Services for your professionalism, kind words and patience.

To our community, friends and family—thank you for the outpouring of support, food, flowers, and many kind expressions of sympathy in our time of need. Words cannot express how thankful we are for your kindness; we are deeply grateful.

If friends so desire, donations can be made to the Russell Daycare, “Russell Lots-A-Tots Inc”, in memory of Mom. Christine, Paige and Monique are all graduates of Russell Lots-A-Tots and one of Tracy’s newest, and favorite, activities included picking Bailey up from daycare early—we aren’t sure who was more excited to see each other.

Condolences can be shared with the family at www.braendlebrucefs.ca.

Sincerely: Edgar, Paige and Monique; Christine, Zachary, Bailey and Brooke
