Everett Scott Kingdon was born on February 28, 1966 to Grant and Kristine (Johnson) Kingdon in Moosomin Hospital. A few years later Everett became a big brother to Thomas Lyle.

Everett and Tom were very close as brothers, fishing, canoeing and boating as a family up on the lakes of northern Manitoba.

When the boys came home to Tantallon for holidays, Everett joined with his cousins, Kris and Robbie. They were riding bikes, driving cars and acting like fools. A great comradeship was formed.

Everett took his schooling in Rocanville, Northern Manitoba, as well as high school in Esterhazy. Everett followed in his dad’s footsteps and became a Boiler Maker.

Everett married Juanita Cook of Thompson, Manitoba on August 7, 1999. Everett and Juanita moved back to Esterhazy to make their home. Nathan came to live with them as a baby. They brought him up as their very own. Everett was a very proud Dad. Everett and Nathan formed a very special bond. Everett was a great cook and always made sure Nathan had a full tummy to start his day. As breakfast time was their special time together, Everett taught Nathan the importance of a breakfast and later how to prepare it. They lost Juanita in 2008.

Everett was always a friendly guy, ready with a wave and a friendly “Hello”. If you had time, he had time for a lengthy visit and a good laugh.

Everett was predeceased by his mother Kristine, and his wife Juanita Cook. His Grandparents; Ken and Dorothea Kingdon, and Kris and Kristbjorg Johnson.

Left to mourn his passing are his father Grant, his son Nathan Keller and his brother Tom Kingdon. Also, Uncle Earl Kingdon, Aunt Lillian (Johnson) Goodman, Uncle Arnie (Mary) Johnson and numerous cousins on both sides of the family.

A celebration of Everett’s life was held Monday, May 6, 2019 at 2 pm from the Tantallon Rink Hall with Sarah Giles officiating. Interment followed at the Holar Cemetery.

If friends so desire, donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
