Mary Longman (nee Thompson) passed away peacefully the morning of October 31, 2019 at the Outlook Health Centre.

She was born October 29, 1930 in Wawota, Sask. She was raised and received her education in Dumas and at the age of 12 her family moved to Maryfield.

On June 26, 1950 she married Lyle Longman and together they raised two children. She did cleaning for various people, worked at the restaurant, and was janitor at the school. She loved her garden, playing cards, and her word find books. She also loved going for coffee with her friends. As her health started to fail, she moved to Outlook in May 2011 to be closer to family. She spent the next eight years in her apartment at Outlook High Rise.

Mary was predeceased by her husband Lyle, her parents, three sisters and their husbands, three brothers-in-law and their wives, five sisters-in-lawand their husbands, plus six nephews and two nieces.

She is survived by her children Eletha (Merv) Dewing and Jack (Mary Ahlefeld) Longman, four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

A funeral service was held Friday, November 8, 2019 at G.R. Carscadden Funeral Chapel, followed by interment in Sunset Memorial Gardens, and a luncheon at the Armory Hall.

Memorial donations can be made to the Maryfield Villa or to a charity of the donor’s choice. Arrangements were in care of the Outlook Funeral Chapel.
