..........and the sun shone as the last breath was taken and peace was felt. Heaven opened its doors and welcomed Bob home.

Silently, a loving heart stops beating, and an incredible journey of love, strength and determination peacefully ends with Shirley, Todd and Carla by his side at the Southeast Integrated Care Centre.

Many fun and good times revolved around the McAuley Tigers hockey team. Bob was known for his elbows and not to back down from a confrontation on the ice. A teammate said “Bob would be the guy I would want on the ice with a minute to go and one goal down.”

Working for the Department of Highways as a surveyor was Bob’s first job. He worked for Trans Canada Pipelines, drove a school bus, had a feedlot and always farmed. He met and enjoyed many good customers and employees while a partner in the Case IH dealership of Miller Farm Equipment. Bob was elected to the first dealer advisory board in Chicago where the Case IH vice-president of North America said members like Bob Davidson make things happen.

Bob was a leader and an organizer. He liked to be in charge and get it done.

When his son Todd began his own business, Davidson Truck and Tractor, Bob met another family of friends. He once again enjoyed his work and co-workers and often mentioned the stories and fun at coffee time.

Bob met Shirley the first night she moved to McAuley to teach school. They had their 50th wedding anniversary on March 28, 2020. They enjoyed lots of golfing and dancing through the years.

Left to cherish his memory and the good times are Shirley, son Todd (Michelle) and daughter Carla (Don) Lee and grandchildren Brooklynn, Jasmine, Brayden and Damon Davidson and Justin and Charlie Lee; Brother and sister-in-laws, Bill Welcher, Bob (Shirley) Donahue, Myrna (Ray) Downey and Don (Carole) Donahue.

Nieces and nephews will have fond memories of their uncle.

Bob was predeceased by his parents Bill and Mae (Jones) Davidson, sister Ruth Welcher and mother-in-law Jean Donahue.

Bob will long be remembered as a strong guy with a competitive and positive attitude.

A private service was held at the columbarium at the South Cemetery on June 3, 2020.

A convoy of trucks with all the employees from Davidson Truck and Tractor respectfully passed by.......

You will be missed here, but always in our hearts and minds. Watch over us in peace and comfort.

Thank you for being a part of Bob’s journey.
In friendship.......The Family
