Agnes Edrie Moore passed away peacefully March 13, 2021 at the Southeast Integrated Care Centre in Moosomin at the age of 87. Agnes was born on January 20, 1934 in Bayside, New Brunswick. She was one of seven children born to Archibald and Isabel MacDonald. On October 12, 1957, Agnes was united in marriage with Albert William Joseph Moore at Toronto, Ontario. They were happily married for 37 years. The couple spent most of their married life living in Dundalk, Ontario prior to moving between Manitoba, Saskatchewan and New Brunswick, before spending their remaining years in Saskatchewan. Wherever they lived, their home always had a revolving door where friends and family were welcomed with open arms.

At the age of 12, Agnes made her choice to serve God—a choice that she was faithful to until the very end. Although she was no longer able to meet with the friends in the traditional way, Agnes enjoyed visits with the friends and workers over coffee at the care home. Agnes will always be remembered for her generous hospitality, friendly nature and quick wit. Her laugh was contagious and could put a smile on anyone’s face. Agnes was predeceased by her loving husband Albert; parents: Archibald and Isabel MacDonald; three brothers: Warren, Vaughn and Cecil MacDonald; one sister: Winifred Williston; three sisters-in-law: Hanna MacDonald, Dolly MacDonald and Margaret Allison; one brother-in-law: Robert Allison and one great-granddaughter: Lillya Lewis.

Agnes leaves to mourn her passing and cherish her memory: three sons and their wives: Joe and Betty Jane Moore of Brandon, Manitoba, Archie and Adele Moore of Collingwood, Ontario, Paul and Shannon Moore of Yorkton, Saskatchewan; three daughters and their husbands: Debbie and Sheldon Affleck, of Pilot Butte, Saskatchewan, Jayne and Wayne Goodsman of Lumsden, Saskatchewan, Cindy and Rick Petersen of Moosomin, Saskatchewan; 25 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; two sisters and their husbands: Rena and Ralph Newbatt, Lillian and Neil McCallum; one brother-in-law and his wife: Doug and Ailleen Moore; three sisters-in-law and their husbands: Ruth and Elwood Newbatt, Eileen and George Akers, and Mercy MacDonald; as well as numerous nieces and nephews who will miss her dearly.

Funeral service was held at Nutrien Rocanville Community Hall on Friday, March 19, 2021 at 11:00 am. Interment was in Webster Cemetery, Rocanville.

In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes may be made to The Moosomin & District Health Care Foundation for long-term care in memory of Agnes.
