Lynn’s family is greatly saddened by her sudden passing on August 19. She was predeceased by her loving father Maurice Gagnon in 2005.

Lynn was born in Russell, Manitoba. She moved many times as a child until settling in Rocanville, Sask. with her parents, Maurice and Lillian Gagnon and her sister, Sherry.

She started her work life at the Toronto Dominion Bank and worked in Rocanville, Wolseley and in Vancouver, B.C. After moving back to Saskatchewan in 1974 she had her two children, Sarah and Andrew. She stayed home with her children for several years and then started another career with the former Pioneer Nursing Home. After retiring in 2010 she began working for the Moosomin Regional Park in the toll booth. She loved that job, meeting people, joking and laughing. Lynn had a big laugh and an even bigger heart.

Lynn’s family would like to thank the staff at Moosomin hospital, Hutch Ambulance Service, and in particular, Dr. Ross Kerkhoff. Many thanks to the family and friends who provided support and help: Delma, Marco, Marie, Florida, Amy, Renette and Geoff, Naomi and many, many others including all the people that made the lunch for the service.

A memorial service was held in Ste. Marthe Hall on August 23.

The following was found in Lynn’s writings:

"I am standing on the seashore. A ship spreads her white sails to the morning breeze and starts for the ocean. She is an object of beauty and I stand watching her, until at last she fades on the horizon, and someone at my side says, ‘She is gone.’ Gone where? Gone from my sight, that is all. The loss of sight is in me, not her, and just at that moment when someone says, ‘She is gone,’ there are others who are watching her coming. Other voices take up the glad shout, ‘There she comes!’ And that is dying.
