It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dale Melvyn Crellin of Vernon, B.C. on November 6, 2021. Dale was 76 and he passed away after a short battle with cancer. The family thanks the staff at the Vernon Jubilee Hospital and the Vernon Hospice House for their care and kindness during this difficult period.

Dale was predeceased by his first wife Lorraine, parents Kay and Stan Crellin, brothers Victor and Grant and nephew Derek. Dale is survived by his wife Sandi, daughter Lyanne, grandchildren Cameron and Dayle. Brothers Eric (Evelyn), Glen (Darlene), Brian (Margaret), Roy (Carolyn). Sister-in-laws Dorothy and Debbie, as well as numerous nephews, nieces and their families.

Dale grew up in Welwyn, Saskatchewan and joined the TD Bank after graduating from Grade 12; he prospered in the TD Bank and was a Manager for many years. After retirement from the bank, Dale and Sandi started a new career as real estate agents. Dale and Sandi spent their retirement years cruising the world, RVing in Arizona and western Canada as well as golfing every day that they could fit it in.

Dale loved life and people. He was always ready for a good time and his laugh was familiar to everyone who knew him. He was a natural athlete, playing baseball, hockey and really enjoyed curling. He was an avid hunter and was an excellent shot. He and his friends used to go hunting moose in northern Alberta where they camped for a week at a time. Dale was a very loyal person who made lasting friendships in all of the different communities that he lived in.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the North Okanagan Hospice Society would be appreciated.
