George Olafson passed away peacefully on December 23, 2021 at 91 years of age.
He is survived by his loving wife, Judy, of 46 years. He is also survived by his 10 children, Dale, Lynn (Ila), Marilyn, Dwayne, Lorne (Darcy), Shannon (Bob), Brent (Val), Glen, Gary, Jennifer (Ricardo); and two stepchildren, Scott (Joanne) and William, as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, siblings and cousins.
He was born on the Douglas farm in Tantallon, Saskatchewan on January 16, 1930. He was the oldest son of Ingersol (Ingie) and Alice (Warriner) Olafson.
George had a passion for baseball and hockey, playing ball throughout his entire life up to the age of 82. He spent hours watching the Blue Jays and also his children and grandchildren play baseball and hockey throughout the years.
George will be fondly remembered for his amazing sense of humour, his great storytelling ability, reminiscing about tales from growing up on the farm, and other travel adventures throughout Canada, the USA, and England.
