Beatrice Flewelling passed away at the Southeast Integrated Health Care Facility - Long Term Care - in Moosomin, Saturday September 28, 2013 at the age of 87 years.

She was predeceased by her husband James Henry (Ted) Flewelling, her parents Carl and Signe Larson, stepmom Freda Larson, stepbrothers Carl and Joe Larson.

Beatrice is survived by her daughter Linda (David), grandchildren Greg (Jackie), Rhonda, Janelle (Drew) (and eight great-grandchildren) and her son Doug (Debbie) and grandchildren Ean (Erin), Leah (Matt) and Ryen. She is also survived by her stepsisters Ann Marie Konta of Regina and Jean Cavalli of Denver, Colorado, and many nieces and nephews.

Beatrice was born in Percival, Sask., the only child of Carl and Signe Larson.

Beatrice received her education at Percival and Whitewood. In 1944 she attended Normal School in Regina, where she received her Teacher’s Certificate. Beatrice taught at rural schools at Oxbow, Grenfell and Moosomin (Spring Creek School).

In 1948 Beatrice married James Henry (Ted) Flewelling. They had two children, Linda and Doug. Ted and Beatrice farmed until 1975 when they retired to Moosomin. Beatrice was then kept busy, helping Ted with his woodworking projects, refinishing antique furniture and working around the yard. They also enjoyed the time spent with their grandchildren.

A private graveside service was held on October 7, 2013, with Rev. Joan Rennie-Laing officiating.
