The investigation has determined that a westbound pickup truck, being driven by a 43-year-old man from the RM of Wallace-Woodworth, collided with another westbound vehicle being driven by a 64-year-old woman from Sioux Valley Dakota Nation.
The 64-year-old female was transported to hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries. The 56-year-old male passenger in her vehicle, also from Sioux Valley Dakota Nation, was pronounced deceased on scene. The driver of the pickup truck was not injured.

The 35-year-old male driver, from St. Theresa Point First Nation, was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced deceased on scene. The 70-year-old male driver of the SUV, from the RM of Dauphin, was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
At approximately 2:45 am, on January 1, 2022, Berens River RCMP received a report of a single vehicle rollover that occurred near the bridge located on the main road in the community.
