Police release description of Redvers sexual assault suspect

Carlyle RCMP are releasing a description of the suspect in a sexual assault that was reported at the Redvers Recreation Centre.

Investigation has determined the sexual assault took place the afternoon of Sunday, June 12, 2022.

To further the investigation, Carlyle RCMP is releasing a description of the adult male suspect.

He is described as having short-to-medium length grey hair and was wearing a grey t-shirt, jeans and boots. He may have a bite mark, wound or bruise on his hand.

RCMP are asking anyone who saw a person matching this description in the vicinity of the recreation centre on June 12, or who knows or sees someone who matches this description or have information about this incident, call the Carlyle RCMP at 306-453-6707. Information can also be submitted anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or www.saskcrimestoppers.com.

RCMP had issued a warning following the report of the sexual assault.

On Sunday, Carlyle RCMP received a report of a teen who was sexually assaulted at the recreation centre in Redvers, Sask.

“Its important for us to notify the community of Redvers and surrounding areas about this incident, even in the investigation’s initial stages, due to the serious nature of the report,” says Sgt. Dallyn Holmstrom, Carlyle RCMP Detachment Commander.

“The intent of our message is not to cause alarm, but to inform the public so they can take any safety measures and speak with their families about this sensitive and serious subject, as they deem appropriate.”
