With his family and friends Garth passed away peacefully at his home on the evening of Nov. 23 at the age of 64 years.

Garth was born on Jan. 28, 1948 in Moosomin.

He started school at Coote Hill and then went to Wapella school.

He married Nicki Inch on April 4, 1969. They had two sons Dwight and Dwain.

Garth had many occupations in his lifetime: road construction, driving gravel truck, cat work, mining, but mostly pipelining. He started out with Shamrock Construction (Ralph Green), United, Kending, Ledcor and Parkland. Hauling machinery was his passion, although some would smile at that and probably are.

While Garth was on the pipeline, Nicki operated their hog and grain farm. Due to injuries after Garth's accident in 1999 he could not operate machinery, and he came home and took over the management of the farm.

You could often find Garth in a coffee shop, be it in Moosomin at the Squire, Virden, Yorkton, Rocanville or Whitewood, right up until a few days before his passing.

Garth was predeceased by his parents: Earl and Lilian Cunday; brothers-in-law: Laurence Schmidt, Darle Caswell; nephew: Casey Howard; two infant nieces and one great-niece Lily; adoptive family members: Dalton Hoggarth, and Myles Hoggarth.

He is survived by his wife, Nicki; two sons and their children; Dwight and his children Wyatt and Tristan and their mother Liz Farkas; Dwain and his daughter Kayla; his sisters Mary (Don) Findling and Mabel Caswell; his brother Rick (Cathy) Cunday, his adoptive family; "Mom" Selina Hoggarth, Leola, Lois, Elden and families and by many wonderful nieces, nephews and their families.

The funeral service took place Nov. 29, 2012 at Moosomin Baptist Church with Pastor Rick Williams and Pastor Randall Neufeld officiating. Interment followed at Wapella cemetery.
