Laurene Anderson (Park) nee Harrison of Rocanville, Sask. passed away peacefully on November 3, 2013 at 91 years of age.

She was predeceased by her parents, Sherman and Annie Harrison; her first husband William Park; one sister, Norma, and infant brother, Stewart.

Left to mourn her passing and celebrate her life is her husband of 40 years, Lloyd Anderson; her four children Trevor (Dianne) Park, Norlene (Harvey) Parsons, Jack (Anita) Park, Julie (Rick) Machnaik, 10 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; sister Blanche Fowler, brother Dale (Juliette) Harrison and Lloyd’s two sons, Colin, Graham and families.

Laurene was born and raised on the Harrison farm, married William (Bill) Park and farmed the Park homestead until his passing in 1972. She married Lloyd Anderson and the farm continued to be the centre of many fun family gatherings!

Laurene took great pride in her yard, loved gardening, knitting, baking, dancing, curling, travelling, camping and was an active UCW member.

In 2002, they retired to Medicine Hat (at the age of 80) where they made new friends but chose to return to their home community in 2008.

She lived her life to the fullest and will be dearly missed for her love of life, strong spirit and great sense of humor.

A memorial service was held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 9, 2013 at the United Church, Rocanville, Sask. with Rev. Delta Kelly officiating. Interment followed at Webster Cemetery.
