Don Gurski of Moosomin, Saskatchewan, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on October 10, 2022.

Don was born on the family farm near Viscount, Saskatchewan, on August 20, 1931.

A beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and cousin. His family and friends will miss Don.

Don held a special place in his heart for his family but especially for his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Don always had time for a visit and cherished the many visitors who stopped in for a visit or a quick hello.

Don spent most of his life as a carpenter and business owner. Don’s work ethic was unmatched. He took great pride in his ability to build or fix anything.

Don married the love of his life, Helen, on June 4, 1962. Together they danced at their 60th wedding anniversary.

Don will be loved and remembered by his wife Helen, children Dianne and Brent Wilson, and their children Jared Easton, Colton and Tiffany Easton and Sydney Wilson. Murray and Penny, their children Kayla Gurski-van Gelder and Ryan van Gelder, Karlie Gurski and Andrew Doan, and Kara Gurski. Perry and Niki and son Kasper. Great-grandchildren Ally Easton, Tripp Easton, Anderson van Gelder and Jack Bates.

The family wishes to thank doctors Kerkhoff and Van Der Merwe and the care home staff at Wawota Deerview Lodge and Moosomin Long Term Care for their compassion and kindness to both Don and family.

At the request of Don, there will be no service or funeral.

If friends so desire, contributions may be made to a charity of their choice.
