Florence May Leslie was born June 12, 1911 at Brandon, Manitoba. May passed away peacefully at the SEICC on November 12, 2013 at the age of 102.

She attended school in Baring, Sask. and worked at various jobs until she met Ralph Leslie in the Moosomin area. They were married on November 23, 1936 and had two daughters, Ellen and Faye.
They farmed south of Moosomin for many years and moved into town in 1954, where she resided until her passing. Her husband Ralph passed away in 1986, her daughter Ellen in September of 2013, and her good friend Bill Cameron in 2009.

May was an avid gardener, and a life-time member of the Agricultural Society. She won many awards for her yard, flowers, vegetable garden and baking. She enjoyed the fellowship at the Drop-in Centre and loved playing cards, going to bingo, bowling and her beloved Saskatchewan Roughriders.

May is survived by her daughter Faye (Ernie) Wells of Moosomin; son-in-law Don Sim from Vernon, B.C.; grandchildren and great-grandchildren Richard Sim, and Jade Sim of Vernon, B.C.; Karen (Randy) Curtis, Harrison, and Daniel Ferrier of Kelowna, B.C.; Colleen (Steve) Reanna, and Samuel Hall of Kelowna, B.C.; Leslie (Blair) Mackenzie, and Ellen Campbell of Vernon, B.C.; Bradley (Jackie), Kyle, and Taylor Wells of Brandon, Man.; Bryan (Tammy) Charlie, and Logan Wells of Wichita, Kansas; Melanie (Stuart) Thomas, and Kate Goranson of Weyburn, Sask.; and nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Mom made her home at the nursing home for the past 12 years were she was treated with much care and compassion. The family encourages donations to the activity department at the nursing home in lieu of flowers or gifts.

Interment will be at a later date.
