Timothy Lloyd Reykdal was born April 20, 1960 to Lloyd and Marion (Bubs) Reykdal in Baldur, Manitoba

He was raised on the home farm south of Baldur and attended Baldur School.
He is survived by his loving wife Janelle (nee Davidson), children Christopher (Kayla) Reykdal, Michael (Karissa) Reykdal, Keri-Lee (Damon) VanGinneken, Justiss McGonigal and Sydney (Cody) Hunter; his grandchildren Caleb, Abby and Kaycee Reykdal, Paxton and Lux VanGinneken, Ryann McGonigal and Hudson and Haven Hunter.

He is also survived by his Mom Marion (Bubs) Reykdal, parents-in-law Jim and Karmen Davidson, sisters Brenda (Benny) Gudnason, Crystal (Dean) Wickens, brother-in-law Dan (Terry) Davidson as well as numerous nephews, nieces, aunts, cousins and countless close friends.

Tim was predeceased by his dad Lloyd Reykdal, paternal grandparents Bill and Evelyn Reykdal and maternal grandparents Jim and Mildred McGill.

Tim joined the workforce when he was 17 years old and developed many skills throughout his work life with farming, owning Baldur Tire Shop, manufacturing, sales, trucking, and returning this last few years to be employed at his first love of farming.

Every place he worked at became a second home for him and he maintained an inconceivable amount of contacts and relationships with many of his co-workers over the years.

Tim married Brenda Odell on May 26, 1984 and together raised Christopher, Michael and Keri-Lee in Baldur. They were their children’s biggest fans and supporters in every sport they played and every skill they tried.
Tim and Brenda parted ways and Tim met Janelle Davidson seven years ago this April. It was soon evident that they were meant to be together.
Tim moved to Moosomin, Saskatchewan in 2016 to be with Janelle and they built the most wonderful life there together enjoying their children, grandchildren, family and friends.

They loved their life at Moosomin Lake, purchased a home there and became a part of a very special community.

They were married on the beach of Moosomin Lake on August 6, 2021 with close friends Louis and Karen Hebert as their witnesses.

Tim had a true love of visiting and socializing and would always be the first person to lend a hand when someone needed something.

He was so very proud of all the accomplishments of his children and grandchildren.

He loved attending sporting events, being outdoors, fishing, hunting, quadding, bonfires, wood stoves, sunsets, pontoon rides, music, teasing and laughter and most of all being with family and friends.

His larger than life presence will be forever missed by all those who had the privilege of knowing him.

A Celebration of Tim’s Life will be held on Wednesday February 22, 2023 at 2 pm in the Belmont Community Hall with Amy Chappellaz officiating.

A family interment will take place at a later date in the Baldur Cemetery.
For friends that so desire, memorial donations can be made in Tim’s memory to the Manitoba Down Syndrome Society, 825 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB R3A 1M5.
