Lillian Kerman

Lillian (Lill) Marie Ann Kerman (Nicholson) passed away peacefully at Moosomin Long Term Care on March 5, 2023 at the age of 85 years.
She was born on July 28, 1937 to Jeannette and James Nicholson of Welwyn, Saskatchewan on the family farm in the RM of Archie, Manitoba.

Lill was predeceased by her husband Roy Kerman of 45 years and sister Jean Frattinger.

She is survived by her daughter Jan (Butch) Gustafson and son Blair (Marion) Kerman, grandchildren Regan (Chas) Wood and great-grandchildren Tucker and Jett; Rae-Lynn (Jon) Forsythe and great-grandchildren Cayden, Devin and Keane; and Blair Jr. (Caroline) Kerman and great-grandchildren Remi and Roen.

Lill married Roy Kerman on September 24, 1955 and farmed in McAuley until retiring in the fall of 1999 and moved off the farm and into McAuley.
Lill and Roy drove school bus in the McAuley area for 35 plus years until their retirement.

Roy passed away in 2000 and Lill moved to Moosomin in 2006, where she lived until moving into the Nursing Home in 2020.

Lill worked hard on the family farm and enjoyed her retirement. She loved to read as her pastime and always had several books on the go and waiting for the latest books to arrive at the library.

She kept busy with genealogy and was always working on family tree information and updating her records.

She always had time to stop for coffee with neighbours and friends and always enjoyed their visits.

Lill loved her family and enjoyed the visits with her children and especially grandchildren and her great-grandchildren. It would make her day blessed to have them all.

The family would like to thank the great care provided by all the staff at SEICC LTC. The staff were so wonderful and kind to her.

For those who desire, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Moosomin and District Health Care Foundation Activities Department or CT Scanner Fund in memory of Lill.

A Celebration of Life for Lill is to be determined at a later date.
