Larry Ross McAuley, beloved husband of Marie McAuley, passed away at the Pasqua Hospital, Regina, on Saturday, September 23, 2023 at the age of 75 years.

Funeral service from G. R. Carscadden Funeral Chapel, Moosomin, Saskatchewan was on Thursday, September 28 with Dawn Wilson officiating. Interment in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Moosomin.

If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made to the Allan Blair Cancer Centre (Unit 3B), 1-4101 Dewdney Ave, Regina, S4T 7T1 or the Moosomin & District Healthcare Foundation for the C.T. Scanner Fund, Box 1470 Moosomin, S0G 3N0, in memory of Larry.

Larry Ross McAuley of Moosomin Regional Park passed away September 23, 2023 after a quick and courageous battle with AML at the age of 75.

Larry was born on March 14, 1948 to Alexander and Elizabeth McAuley.

After high school Larry married his wife of 54 years, Marie. They made their home in Grenfell, Saskatchewan and that is where they raised their three children, Tannis, Craig and Carrie. In the winter they spent a lot of time at rinks and in the summer they loved the lake.

Larry retired from TransCanada Pipelines after 31 years and in the first six years after his retirement, Larry worked doing overhauls in Alberta and Saskatchewan.

Then Marie and Larry moved to Moosomin Regional Park where they called home for the next 17 years until he got sick.

Larry was predeceased by his parents Alexander and Elizabeth (Draper) McAuley. He leaves behind his wife Marie (Flewelling); his children Tannis (Jaysen) Tomashewski, Craig (Teena) McAuley, and Carrie (Clyde) Garrett; his grandchildren Corwyn Tomashewski, Jessica Tomashewski, Jaida (Liam) Johnston, Nevaeh McAuley, Clancy McAuley, Casey Garrett, and Chloe Garrett; brother Dave (Gloria) McAuley; sisters Shirley (Stanley) Ranson, Linda (Harvey) Nixon; brother-in-law Dennis (Janice) Flewelling, and sisters-in-law Joyce (Ron) Frape, Betty (Murray) Reid and numerous nieces and nephews.

Larry enjoyed life. He loved to read, tinker and troubleshoot. He loved spending time with Marie, his family and friends. His lovable character was shown to the very end.

The McAuley family would like to thank everyone for all their support.

They would also like to send a big thank-you to the staff at the Pasqua Hospital Unit 3B for all they have done. You all made this journey special and will always hold a special place in our hearts. Larry really did have the best team through his final months.
