Gordon Burroughs of Moosomin, Sask., passed away peacefully on March 7, 2024 at the age of 79.
Gordon was born on April 8, 1944 to Samuel and Christena Burroughs in Russell, Manitoba.
In 1966, Gordon met Cecile and they wed in April of 1968, going on to have four beautiful daughters.
Gordon had a big heart and it showed with the help he would so endlessly give out to everyone.
Gordon was one of the biggest supporters of his six grandchildren Samuel, Sheldon, Bradley, Brenden, Haven and Nevin; as well as his three great-grandchildren Calin, Clarissa, and Zara.
Gordon had many hobbies throughout the years, but he thoroughly enjoyed working on his classic cars and a good game of bingo.
Gordon was a hardworking and caring person who was always ready to tell a story to whoever would listen.
Gordon is predeceased by his wife and soulmate Cecile, parents Samuel and Christena Burroughs, sister Betty, and brothers Sam, Jim, Bill and Bob.
Gordon is survived by his brother Al; daughters Shirley, Barb (Scott), Tina, Bev (Sean); grandchildren Sam, Sheldon (Marley), Bradley (AJ), Brenden, Haven (Eric), and Nevin; and his three great-grandchildren Calin, Clarissa, and Zara. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
He will be missed deeply by many.
A Celebration of Life for Gordon will be held at a later date.
