Peacefully, on Friday, April 18, 2014 at the Health Science Centre, Edward Plewes passed away at the age of 76 years.

Edward was predeceased by his beloved wife Violet in 2002, his brother Garth in 1991, sister Vaila Brown in 2002 and brother-in-law Mervin Brown in 2008.

He will be lovingly remembered by his step-daughters April (Bob) Kushnir, Debra Fisher, grandchildren Chrystal Kushnir, Tyson Fisher, sister Marion (Tom) Haug, sister-in-law Beth Plewes, nieces and nephew Michelle Haug, Margurite Caldwell, Murray (Maria) Haug, Micheal (Leanne) Plewes, Dean Plewes and their families.

Ed was born on April 27, 1937 in Moosomin, Sask., and worked on his dad’s farm, then moved on to Virden where he eventually ended up in Winnipeg and worked at MacLeod’s where he met his wife Vi. He worked for Eaton’s and finally the Bay where he retired in April of 2002.

Ed enjoyed his western novels, movies, crosswords and loved bird watching and curling.

Cremation has taken place and a celebration of his life was held on Thursday, April 24, 2014 at 10 a.m. at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. with interment at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens.
