Marilyn was born in Fairlight, Sask. on November 6, 1940. She started school in Fleming and continued her education in Doonside to Grade 8.

Marilyn lived with her parents for many years at Doonside, Ryerson and then Moosomin, but did some live-in babysitting jobs in the district and housekeeping jobs, particularly with Turpies. She moved into Centennial Manor after her parents passed away. She went into the Villa at Maryfield in March, 2014.

Music was one of her greatest loves and she played with her father at nursing homes, dances and many good time sessions with families. Marilyn loved playing cards, bingo, Yahtzee and spent many hours doing jigsaw puzzles.

On January 7, 2015 Marilyn passed away peacefully at the Regina General Hospital.

Marilyn was predeceased by her grandparents, her parents, Leslie and Elizabeth Hill, brother-in-law Alan Franklin, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She is survived by her brother Melvin (Betty), her sister Jeanette, 12 nieces, nephews and their families. She is also survived by three aunts, Doreen Pickett (Jack), Bernice Carlson, and Dorothy Mielitz as well as numerous cousins.
