Margaret Emily Beryle Donaldson passed away peacefully on January 13, 2015 in the Long Term Care Home in Moosomin at the age of 97.

Beryle was born to Bert and Rannie Donaldson June 8, 1917 at the family home north of Rocanville.

Beryle and Charlie Donaldson were married June 22, 1938 and farmed west of Highway 8 in the Qu’Appelle Valley for 43 years before moving to Rocanville.

Beryle continued to live in her house after Charlie died in 2003 until April 2006 when she moved to #2 Lodge in Rocanville and then resided in Moosomin Care Home from March 17, 2011 till her passing.

Beryle is predeceased by her husband Charlie; her parents Bert and Rannie Donaldson; her brothers: baby John Donaldson, Donald Donaldson, Murray Donaldson, and Gordon Donaldson; her sisters Birdie Malcolm and Ruth Coghill; sister-in-law Elaine Donaldson; brothers-in-law George Malcolm and John Coghill; and by nephews Terry Donaldson and Brian Donaldson.

Beryle will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by son Bob (Rose) and their family, Mark (Cindy) and Richard (Maricar); daughter Sylvia (Carlyle) Magnusson and family, Charlene (Jeff) Protz and Michael (Lynne) Magnusson; and seven great-grandchildren: Sarah Donaldson, Ashley Donaldson, Torrey and Breton Protz, and Aamon, Samantha and Connor Magnusson. Beryle will also be mourned by her sisters-in-law Vera Donaldson of Moosomin, Sask., Anne Donaldson of Fairview, Alberta, and Olive Donaldson of Red Deer, Alberta.

She will be sadly missed by her loving nephews and nieces as well as by her many loyal friends, all who were so special to her.

The funeral service was held in St. Paul’s United Church in Rocanville on January 17, 2015 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Delta Kelly officiating. Diana Longman was the musician. Urn bearers were the grandchildren: Mark Donaldson, Charlene Protz and Michael Magnusson.

Ushers were Rae Thompson and Earl Kingdon with Tom and Grace Olafson at the guest register. A full choir sang "Whispering Hope." St. Paul’s United Church women served a lovely lunch. Interment will be at a later date at Holar Cemetery.

Beryle lived her life well, accepting and meeting life’s challenges as they came.
