It is with heavy hearts and many memories we announce the passing of Carman (Horner) Wright on Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at the age of 83.

Carman was born in Maryfield, Saskatchewan, the youngest of four children born to Ernie and Clara Wright.

He was predeceased by his parents, brothers Harold and Reginald, and sister Bernice Martindale.

He is survived by seven nieces and nephews, their partners, and many great- and great-greatnieces and nephews.

Carman lived and worked in Winnipeg until his retirement from Canada Post in 1992. He moved back to Maryfield in 1993 where he reconnected with old friends, made new friends, took up trapping and enjoyed the many social activities the community had to offer.

We wish to thank the staff of the Sunrise Villa for their kindness in his short stay there and the staff of Moosomin Hospital for their excellent care these past weeks.

A memorial service will be held at the St. Andrew’s United Church in Maryfield on Monday, February 23, 2015 at 1 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Carman’s memory made be made to the Sunrise Villa, 110 Longworth St., Box 340 Maryfield, Saskatchewan S0G 3K0.
